Who’s the Beast of the East in college football?

Well, if the Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy is any indication, the answer to the question is most definitely Penn State.

The Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy has been awarded each year since 1936 to the best college football team in the East. And the Nittany Lions have won the trophy an astounding 28 times. Second on the list is Army—which has won just seven trophies.

The trophy is currently handed out by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.
