So this blog has been a tad Penn State-heavy of late. I know this.
I know that most us want to just start thinking about football again. Just want to start looking forward to Saturdays again. Just want to move past this sad chapter in American sports history and begin to enjoy the great game that is college football again.
But of course, that's just not possible. Not yet.
There are still questions to be answered, still debates to be had, still issues to sort out as we go about the work of putting this scandal--the greatest scandal in college football history, one that has unquestionably stained the reputation of a university, and a legendary coach, and prompted swift action both from the NCAA and the Big Ten--into proper perspective.
And so I move forward with my attempts to do precisely that. The only good news? My latest writings on this horrible tragedy actually do have something to do with on-the-field stuff. Which, I know, is trivial stuff indeed.
But it's the stuff we can hopefully one day go back to talking about.
