How awful? This awful: The Buckeyes have never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game. They've had nine chances, too.
The failures have been magnified in the past two seasons, as the Buckeyes have been blown out in back-to-back BCS Championship games -- first by Florida (2007), then by LSU (2008) -- but the truth is, Ohio State's struggles against the SEC date all the way back to 1977, when they were pummeled by Alabama, 35-6, in the Sugar Bowl. What is most remarkable about the SEC's dominance over Ohio State, however, may be the fact that it has continued even during the Jim Tressel era. Tressel has delivered just about everything Ohio State fans could want -- dominance over Michigan, Big Ten titles, a national championship -- but even he can't seem to break the Buckeyes' SEC jinx.
Here, we take a look back at some of the Buckeyes' recent SEC losses.
