Bowls Worth Watching, Part I

By December 26, 2012

Follow me on:

Hey, folks, it's bowl season.

Yes, it's time once more to watch bowl games both obscure (the Belk Bowl, anyone? How about a little Beef O'Brady's Bowl action?) and awesome (the discussion begins and ends, as always, with the Rose Bowl). It's time to enjoy the thrills that always seem to come along with these matchups--cross-sectional matchups that only bowls, for all their perceived faults, can give us. It's time to try to remember who is sponsoring which game these days, time to study up on bowl-playing teams that you've never heard of or seen play before, time to discuss whether the Heisman curse actually exists, and if so, time to discuss if it will impact Johnny Football.

In other words, it's a great time of year.

We'll get you ready for some of the best early bowls here, in Part I of our Bowls Worth Watching Preview for the 2012-2013 bowl season.
