Exactly one week ago, I basically wrote in this very space that Alabama was downright unbeatable.
Having just survived that scare in Death Valley, in the game that most everyone agreed was their toughest test of the season, the Tide looked to me a sure bet to finish the regular season undefeated, to win the SEC championship over an inferior SEC East opponent, and to roll right on into the national title game. And yeah, I figured that was a game that they would (easy), as well.
Well, Johnny Football had other plans.
Texas A&M's fantastic freshman quarterback, Johnny Manziel, marched his Aggies into Tuscaloosa this past weekend and did what many thought was impossible: He made Nick Saban's defense look silly, and he led A&M to a 29-24 win that completely changes the state of the national title race.
It was a remarkable win, and one that we'll look at here, in our Week 11 edition of Sunday Morning Observations.
