Sunday Morning Observations, Week 9: Notre Dame is Legit, Ohio State is Really Good, Alabama is Utterly Dominant

Follow me on:

I've got some news for you, folks. Three pieces of news, actually.

That news is as follows:

1. No matter how much it may pain you to admit it, you must now admit that Notre Dame is a legit national title contender. Because if there's anything we learned from the Fighting Irish's 30-13 win over Oklahoma (in Norman) this weekend, it's that this Irish team is capable of beating (almost) anybody (see below).

2. Ohio State is far and away the best team in a mostly awful Big Ten. Urban Meyer's inevitable dominance of this league has already begun.

3. Alabama is so completely dominant that it's time to start the conversation about this being one of the best teams in college football history. I know Nick Saban will hate that I wrote that (he's an avid reader, of course), but so be it. This team is that good.

We analyze these big storylines, and much more, in this week's edition of Sunday Morning Observations. Give them a read, won't you?
